First the good - I love the fit and feel of these shorts. I bought them because of the 9.5" inseam as most mtb shorts are way too long in my opinion. I really appreciate how these perform well on the trail, as well as in everyday life. They're light and comfy, and the fit is neither baggy nor tight. It finds that perfect middle ground. Also, the fact that they dry quickly is an awesome bonus.

Now the bad - after the 2nd (gentle) wash, they emerged with a large snag / run on the leg. it's pretty noticeable, though less so when I actually wear them because they get stretched out a bit. I contacted FlyLow's warranty dept, which told me to send them back ... for what, I'm not sure. I don't think they can be repaired. Maybe they would have given me a credit or sent a new pair, but ultimately I decided to just live with the snag. I bought the shorts for a really great price and I only had a month or so of warm weather left, so why go through the trouble? I can still wear them on a regular basis and I doubt anyone but me will notice. Still, I'm a little disappointed, mostly because I love these shorts. I'm willing to concede that this could just be a weird outlier. I have a 2nd pair of Hot Tub shorts that are still in good shape.

And in case you're wondering, I only line-dry these. With all my performance-based clothing, I follow care instructions to the T.

So remember JAMS, yea JAMS. Well these are cooler and made of 50% bamboo with a DWR coating it goes from running to swimming in .6 seconds. Durable enough to hike in and light enough to be the only set of shorts you wear this summer. Board shorts are a thing of the past, these shorts don't chafe and they sure don't ever get too hot, unless you are in the Hot TUB. If you like Flylow and their outerwear you will love these shorts. Super Packable and has a super nice Zipper.
