Weak at the bridge

The interior nosepiece and exterior central logo are connected with a threaded attachment that goes through the one piece lens which creates an inherent weak spot. I have owned 4 pair of gargoyles (all received as gifts) since the late 80s early 90s and they all break at this weak spot, cracking in half with no way to repair. It happens after multiple years of use, well beyond their 2 year warranty. And coming back for a 50% discount is foolish if you know they're just going to break the exact same way again.
