These boots have great features: great grip sole, ex. ankle support, easy lace-up, wam & dry. The cuff is too low at the back for deeper snow (>6"). They are warm even in 0 deg F. Stiff at first but comfy after 3 or 4 hrs of wear. The fit is a little on the small side, I ordered 1/2 size larger and I'm glad I did even with light sock. Full size larger needed with a heavier sock.

Tested the shoes on a snowshoe day trip in the Cascades. Good comfortable fit, kept my feet warm. Snow shoe straps compressed the sides of the shoes a bit more than I expected, but adjusting the straps took car of it.

I bought these boots so I could have something warm and keep me dry on the trails as well as in my yard while cleaning snow and playing with the kids. Although I believe break in period for shoes is relative, for me these were ready to go out of the box. On the trail the you could feel the stability provided by the X-Lugs p on the outer sole of the shoe. I wore them on two hikes with Smartwool

I've had them for the course of the winter of 13-14. It's been consistently cold and icy here in the US Northeast this winter and these boots have been terrific. I've used them for light hiking in the mountains and smaller outings on the local trails walking my 2 husky dogs. Much lighter and nimbler than my Sorel-type PAC boots. Not as warm. It's a trade-off. These boots offer just a bit of extra

I purchased these boots for those sub zero cold days for being outside shoveling snow or taking a bit of a hike. Too late for this winter to try but just putting them on my feet were warming up fast so I expect they will be very nice when the winter grabs hold of the Midwest late this year. I purchased a pair that was one size bigger due to availability and they seem to fit just fine and with a

I drive a snow plow an I was wearing heavy snow boots for those times I get out of the truck. My feet sweat and get very cold in snow boots when I'm driving. I was looking for something warm that would breathe so I would stay dry. These are perfect. They're a little stiff but I haven't gotten them broke in yet. I stay warm and dry and its much easier to drive wearing these boots.
