just got back from 5 day float on smith river. My Ghillie kettle was a star. Fire wood is scarce near campsites but there were always enough twigs, wood chips, pine cones around to boil water. We used it every morning and evening for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, instant mashed potatoes, etc. Used the coals in the pan, once the water boiled, to start the campfire.
