just got back from 5 day float on smith river. My Ghillie kettle was a star. Fire wood is scarce near campsites but there were always enough twigs, wood chips, pine cones around to boil water. Nice stove that heats quickly with twigs

I've already tested the kettle once with dry twigs I found laying in my yard. It heated 1 liter of water in about 5 minutes.

It took me about 5 boils to get comfortable using this.
I will definiteley bring on any camping or canoe type trip.

The kettle is well constructed and should last a long time.
I found the handle flimsy for my tastes and thought it should be sturdier, especially for the price.

You need to be very careful with the whole process so you don't burn Yourself.
Not suitable for most hiking trips.
