We bought this generator for camping, but have found so much use for it that it's not uncommon to see it on our floor somewhere inside the house practically everyday of the week. Great product, would recommend to anybody.

Great value for the money

This piece of equipment stretches further than what the specs announce. It’s fairly priced, it gives you that extra edge when you need it. However you have to make choices on what to power and for how long. If you power a freezer full to the brim the produce and meat will thaw slower than what is announced but mostly because of the inertia of the quantities of what you stock. The yeti will power the actual freezer for a few hours the gets drained of power. So choose what is most important and conserve is the key. I probably will get another to have on hand for power outages and the like.
Pros:
  • Versatile, charges well on solar even from inside an apartment. Compact, silent, charges fast on ac/dc.
Cons:
  • It is a small unit so do not expect miracles.
Best Used for:
  • Power outages, camping. Not trail hiking as it is heavy like any battery

Perfect for Hurricane Season

Bought this in order to be able to charge my electron it devices in the case of power outage in a hurricane. Also was attracted to the fact that it could be recharged via a solar panel. Charged it up and placed my iPhone Apple Watch and iPad on it the first night. It charged very quickly and drain very little power from the unit.

too soon to rate?

I'm reviewing despite not using the product yet. But so far, charging, customer service & testing product excellent. Yeti 150 easy to use and worked as promoted. I've seen reviews on YouTube recommending lithium batteries rather than the lead acid, but that option is not available with the smaller 150.

Camping MUST

I was never a fan of camping but we have been using the Goal Zero Yeti for Coachella the past few years, I only bought a new one because I gave my other one out. but this one is totally worth it and the site had the best deal! BEST DEAL! we use it with the solar panels and it works amazing, all weekend helps with charging our cameras, phones, speakers and my hair curlers and straighteners (a must for Coachella) and the main reason I need this! it also helped with inflating everyones bed.
