first thing I looked at were the straps. on the small side I thought but after a few dozen days hiking it was clear they were tough and anchored very well then the mesh I thought is it tough and it is. I am on my second crown2 and I already knew it was a great riding pack. first the waist belt is adjustable and the choice of lengths is nice. materials are all quite good and I like the top roll closure. the only thing I can say I wish it had was little longer strap over top for holding a jacket maybe but that is minor.
