Quetico Portage Pack
To begin with Granite Gear make several purposely built packs designed for use while canoe camping. The packs are built so that if you choose to portaging a canoe while carrying your pack the pack does not hinder shouldering the canoe.
I currently own 4 different Granite Gear Portage packs that are used for different things, (Crew food pack, Large, medium, small personal pack) and I have found the Granite Gear packs in general to be among the best available. They are very ruggedly built to withstand the rigors of transferring into and out of a canoe, as well as shouldering and caring heavy gear loads.
I recommend this pack!
