Pros- pack is relatively flat, positioning gear closer to the back for agility while scrambling or moving quickly. I jogged a few miles in the pack with about 20 lbs and was surprised how comfortable and secure the pack felt. The back access zipper was convenient for grabbing items from the bottom instead of rummaging through a top-load setup.
Cons- the pack was uncomfortable with a heavier load; the upper limit for me was shy of 30 lbs. The metal clip that secures the non-detachable brain is finicky to use: the strap that bears the metal attachment clip is attached at the bottom of the rear of the pack, and dangles freely when the clip is unfastened. The clip itself is finicky to slip in and out of the cloth loop. This makes the rear access zipper all the more important, but id rather they just use a plastic buckle that closes easily and probably weighs a few oz. less as well.
Overall, it's a fairly spacious, well constructed pack with some curious design choices. I bought it for about 60 percent off the suggested retail price, and for that it's great. I probably would have returned it for a different bag if I'd paid $170 for it.

Without having used the bag yet, it has amazing qualities that I can't wait to use. For being a 44 pack, there is a lot of space and the bag is made out of great materials. It also includes a rain cover that will hopefully come in handy. The bag fits great and I would expect nothing less from Gregory. A very sleek style, doesn't attract much attention which is what I was going for. Already I'm in love with this guy!
