Luxury item on the trail for the significant other in your life. Tired of eating out of your cooking pot? This is for you. Nests well. Good volume for two. Great for cereal. Not used as a cup, the opening is pretty small. Gets too hot to hold with boiled water unless you nest bowls to insulate your hands. Light when split between two hikers. I leave lid at home. Not bad. Not ultralight or solo gear for multiday treks, imho. A wide plastic jar with threaded (s_crew_on) lid would be cheaper and be more versatile. Recycle reuse repurpose.

I have the smaller setup as part of the GSI Kettelist kit. This set is bigger, and just what I was looking for. The cup has a neoprene insulation ring, doesn't really insulate that much, but making a cozy for it is no big deal. In the winter, I use a SVEA 123 stove, and these will just fit on the top making a nice compact package. I will order a couple more.

I used this set on a 10 day backcountry canoe trip and it worked well. It is light weight and durable.

Great bowls for the backcountry! I would purchase again if I ever needed bowls, but doubt I will ever have to.

Great bowl and mug for multi-day backpacking, size may be a little large for smaller hands. It stays cool with hot liquids in it. The lid fits well and stays in place. It is easy to clean and does not stain. I am very pleased with it and will buy again.

I just took this out on my last backpacking trip, and loved it. It's durable, compact, and fits in my MSR stainless steel mess kit. It's not essential, but if you want a mug and bowel when your on the trail, you won't go wrong with this one.

I purchased 15 of these for the newest members in our Boy Scout troop. Having a lightweight eating kit, combined with a "Light My Fire" spork gives the boys all they need in an easy to carry personal package. This set will last them for years in all sorts of camping environments. GSI is a great product that we know will last.

Great multi-purpose container for both food and drink.
Bowl has nice stable, flat bottom that won't easily tip when placed on ground. Lid keeps debris out.
Bright orange is easily spotted.
