I paddle a ton, talking 2-3 days a week typically. This board I am on at least 1-2 of those days. It is hard to pick another over it since it does so much so well. Tracks like a dream! Nice and stiff with that carbon top and bottom, which is great for my taller and heavier friends. Handles super well and I can pivot it on a dime. Has enough tie down loops to put enough gear for multi-day paddle trips and still able to walk around and fish off it at the same time. Ran rivers with it and portaged it for a few miles. Just a perfect slayer of all things water! Probably my favorite board Hala makes. If you are larger individual this is your inflatable SUP. If smaller (like myself) but doing multi day trip this is the board for ya! Load it up and hit the water to see where the adventure takes you!
Pros:
stable
Light
Stiff
Removable Fins
Lots of rigging points
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Any and all water
Would recommend: Yes

The Carbon Hoss is a fantastic board for anyone looking for an all-around board that can be paddled long distances. As an owner of last year’s Hoss I was worried that buying another Hoss would leave with two of the same boards. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the newer Carbon Hoss was not only more rigid but quite a bit faster and easier to paddle than its predecessor. The new shape and carbon technology are a huge bonus for anyone looking to paddle long distances while still providing plenty of room and capacity for paddle camping. Because of the faster shape, the board does have a smaller balance “sweet spot”. I will definitely be holding onto my previous year model Hoss for friends that are first time paddlers. The Carbon Hoss is a killer board and a great addition to any quiver, even one that already includes a Hoss.
Pros:
Sturdy
Easy to Paddle
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Paddle Camping
