Poor Quality
I have owned two Hala Standup Paddle Boards both with problems associated with craftsmanship and quality control. The first blew a seam after two years and the second leaked after two uses. I would not recommend purchasing a Hala SUP Board.

Superboard at a Super Price
This board is the perfect set up for anyone looking to get into some flat water adventures. Awesome for 1-2 people of any level to feel super stable on it and it’s also great for yoga. The streamlined design makes it super light and easy to load on your car and the included paddle is great for packing up and fitting in the wheeling bag for travel. And you really can’t beat the price!

Great first board
I signed up for a Stand Up Paddleboard triathlon (SUP replaces the swim - yay!) and this is the board I bought for the job. I love it. It inflates quickly and is easy to carry in and out of the water (we had to carry our boards to the transition). I loved the performance on the water too. And although it was early, it was a beautiful morning!

Great all-around board
I love how easily this board maneuvers and its stability in the water. A couple of pounds lighter and shorter than my Hala Asana, this board is easy for my kids to carry. The deck pad is comfortable, even when I’m on my knees, and all the tie downs allow for plenty of gear to take on trips. Can’t beat the warranty!

Great Purchase for Your First SUP
The Rival Series is the solution to getting a reliable board from a reliable brand for a great price! The Straight Up is a tried and true shape that suits a wide array of paddlers, for a wide array of paddle disciplines. The Straight Up can handle smaller rivers, flat water, kids, and dogs. The Rival Straight Up, versus the regular Straight Up, is the route to opt out of the heavy duty reinforcement that you would want if you were planning on putting the board through the wringer on extensive trips or rivers with sharp rocks and board-abusing situations. Instead, the Rival Straight Up is great for someone who just wants to stand up paddle and have a relaxing experience on a great board! I am a SUP salesperson, competitive paddle boarder, and SUP instructor. I am overall impressed with the Rival Straight Up and think it is a great SUP for someone that just wants to get into the sport without the overly technical features of a more expensive board.

Great board for the family
The board is a little wider and shorter than the standard straight up, which is perfect for my wife and kid. It's much higher quality than the other boards I've been on, and the paddle is really well made - bomb proof. The two way pump is excellent and gets the board inflated pretty quickly with not too much effort, as well. Overall, the family really enjoys it!
