Super comfortable, great service - Hanwag Alta Bunion Hiking Boots - Men's

I have a bunion on my left foot. I buy shoes with big toe boxes and apply a shoe stretcher (the cast iron ball-and-ring type) but a couple of years ago I had to give up my old hiking boots when they couldn't be stretched to fit. Happily I discovered these wonderful shoes! I wore them for a six-mile walk through a local state park yesterday and have zero foot pain! Construction is of the highest quality. Fit is accurate - the box says US12 UK11 EU 46, and they fit like my other US12/EU46.5 shoes. The non-bunion right foot is fine - the shoes have normal fit through the heel and instep and hold securely without heel movement; the roomy toebox is very comfortable. And they're very nice looking, too - the bunion accommodation doesn't change the lines of the boot, and they which actually look smaller than my other shoes.
