Finally, one that works !!! - Hanwag Banks GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

I have a difficult time with boots and shoes because size 12 is usually a little short and size 13 is always way too big. So, finding size 12 1/2 is quite a challenge. Having never worn (or heard of) Hanwag Boots I read a lot of reviews and decided to give these a try. I am extremely happy !
I wore these on a recent 4 day camping trip to The Smokey Mountains. The temp ranged from 18 to 45 degrees (feet stayed warm) and it rained VERY hard for 48 hours straight (feet stayed dry). I like the fit as well. The heel is nice and secure while there is just enough room in the toe box to not feel restricted with medium cushion smartwool socks.
The lacing system is good and ankle support is pretty good also. They work well for the hiking I do... easy to moderately steep terrain in cool to cold and wet conditions. Looking forward to the next adventure with these boots and will look to Hanwag when I need replacements down the road.
