They are as light as many running shoes. Really good cushioning in the heel. Hiked in 88 degree weather without getting sweaty feet. But only for about an hour. Usually can only wear gore tex in the winter. I have a narrow heel and wide toes and forefeet. Very difficult to find anything wide enough for my toes that does not slip around on my heel. These fit. I usually wear an 11 ee, but after reading reviews I went with these in 11 and they fit perfect. I do a lot of hiking along rives and streams so I wanted something that would stick to wet granite. Usually will not even consider something without stealth, contragirp, vibram xs or traxion rubber. Haven't had a chance to try these on that, but they do have vibram running outsoles. My trail runners with vibram running stick fantastic, so I suspect these will do the same. I've only had them a week so time will tell how they hold up. They look incredibly well made. They have cemented soles but claim to be resolable. I'll have to check with my longtime boot repair guy to find out. I will provide an update once I've used these for a few months
Pros:
light, great breathability, good heel cushioning, great quality material and construction
Cons:
haven't found any
Would recommend: Yes

I really like the looks of the boot and it does not disappoint when wearing it! VERY light yet sturdy with a comfortable and supportive feel. I was really impressed when I wore them around town, looked good and walked nicely on the pavement...it wasn't clunky, you couldn't feel the tread, still gripped well. The Tudela is a really nice option, different from the "heavy duty" styles that Hanwag is known for.
