I purchased one of these for a friend for Christmas and liked it so much I had to buy myself one. His was perfect but like many other complaints mine had loose elastic chord, after 10 seconds of assessing I tugged the chord through the back side of the black plastic Y junction and tied a loop knot to eliminate the slack. Bam, it's perfect. I highly recommend this for back packing, it's super comfy and sturdy.
