We have several Helinox chairs, to include the Beach model, and the Playa is by far the most comfortable. We really appreciate the cupholders and extra wide bottom. We use these chairs weekly at our local barrier islands, and they have held up extremely well in the saltwater environment.

Very compact and light, but if you are older this product is too low.

I purchased this product for my husband, not thinking that as this wonderful chair might be too low for him. It folds up to a real small size and is very light. It will hold up to 300 lbs.
So if you are young and can bend down, this product is great.
Pros:
  • Folds and is light weight
Cons:
  • a little low to the ground
Best Used for:
  • Younger and in shape folks

good but worth the price?

Pretty lightweight, easy to assemble. Definitely needs a pillow unless you like laying way back all the time. Your thighs will hurt a bit if you relax them and put weight on the edge/rim. Is it worth the price? If its in your budget, sure. Otherwise, find an alternative.

Playa plays well

I purchased the beach chair and to make a comparison I also purchased the playa. The playa is more comfortable. The playa has 2 cup holders 1 on each side , armrest which is more comfortable and a more comfortable seating area. The playa is not as compact as the beach chair but not bad . Comfort wins over compact.

Best beach chair for air travel getaways

I was tired of buying a new beach chair every time we flew some where with a beach. My wife likes to play in the ocean and I prefer to fly my drone. After doing my research this was the chair that I chose. It folds up very small, fits in my carry on, has wide feet so it won't sink in the sand, and is comfortable to sit in. CampSavers had a great discount coupon and their shipping was fast and free. What's not to like?

  • Light weight
  • Wide feet so it won't sink into the sand
  • Folds up small
  • Fits in my carry on
Cons:
  • Expensive but worth it
