This folder feels nicer in my hand than any other folding knife I have ever owned. So, while it does not feel as good as a fixed-blade due to the blade channel, it is as close as any folder I have held has come. Some complain of the curly birch handle, but I find it beautiful. As for the blade, I love the Scandinavian grind and it came razor sharp from the factory (as is usual for Helle). As a final note, these knives are handmade. This is a great knife. It is worth every penny. Be careful with it. It is incredibly sharp right out of the box. It will go with me every time I go hunting or to the farm. Very well made and it feels great in your hand.

...... as a Former Forest Service Smokejumper carrying good folding knives was mandatory and at times a life saver for us.....I had a lot of them.....I am impressed with the sturdiness and the aesthetics of the Beja.....It is a joy to use and talk about a good edge WOW WOW........It should come with a belt case...We used military surplus .45 caliber clip cases, with a open top, for quick access Its too bulky for a pocket knife....tom K
