This is a fantastic item. Obviously, it protects the tent's floor from wear and tear. However, unlike the footprints for other tents I've owned, this extends out to the perimeter of the tent fly, making for a really nice "porch" area outside each tent door. You can place boots, packs, etc. in this area without them contacting the ground. Very expensive but well-made and I just keep it attached to the tent all the time so it is ready to go on setup.
