Best Rafting and Car Tent I Have Owned

Finally used this tent on an arctic float (Marsh Fork/Canning River, AK). We saw sustained winds up to 25 mph with higher gusts, rain and one morning of slush/snow. This tent was solid and offers a tremendous amount of ventilation options for warmer days to being totally closed up on colder, windy days. You could feel the difference from a cold wind when buttoned up! Oriented properly with the wind, I never needed more than two guy out lines. The porch option is great when the group needed to hide out during a squall. The extra large vestibule is great for storage and removing rain gear on really wet days. The only minor criticism I have would be the main vestibule zippers clanging together on windy nights. Some sort of zipper cover or electrical tape should take care of that. Otherwise this tent gave my wife and I great comfort during the 8 day trip. My wife has had spine surgery and doesn't sleep as comfortable as she used to. She used a Helinox Convertible One cot on one side and we both had plenty of room inside (the cot helped her sleep very comfortably). I had looked at some less expensive options (one of which I sent back to Campsaver after setting up in the house twice) and I am very glad I spent the additional money for this model.

As should be expected, the foot print is large. This was no issue in tree less, arctic terrain and on gravel bars. I did attach permanent 48" lines to the four main stake outs to be used with rocks or logs when stakes are no...
