Reviews & Ratings for Hilleberg Keron 4 GT Tent - 4 Person, 4 Season
— 3 reviews — Page 1
First is the pack size, very compact for the shelter it offers, horizontal shelter. Taller people are likely to be bothered by the interior height, scrambling in and out of the 44 inch interior height. That is where the threshold of good and bad diverge. You would look at a 2 person tent with higher interior for a similar pack down size of 8” x 19” to avoid that inconvenience. The advantage of the low height cashes in when winds reach 20 mph, this tent will not wake you up. Nice! The heat inside on cold nights also maintains a even range, we had 15 F to 40 F range, and doubled the padding up...

Awesome tent! We have the Nammatj 3, and this tent does not compare to it! Felt like I was staying in a palace. The reason for the bigger tent is because I needed more space to do homework, and now that I have back issues, it is easier to move around and stand up. We used it for the first time last weekend at Baker Lake, WA., and did add in our Buddy Heater, which warmed up the tent nicely. We also tested out the vestibule, and indeed you can fit two camp chairs in it along with a small table. Since this is a four-person tent and it was just the two of us the first night, our XL exped fight in great! And the second night, we had a friend join us who had a single exped, and it fits well in the tent next to ours, and she used the second vestibule for her gear along with entering and exiting the tent.
Pros:
Lots of space, Massive, Lots of head room, great for tall people
Cons:
Not ideal for backpacking trips unless you can split the weight
Best Used for:
Car camping, Camping, Outdoors

I purchased the tent for my brother to live in. I had never heard of Keron tents prior. I had it shipped directly to him so I have not seen or used it. I assume he's enjoying it off the grid. He mentioned that for the $$$$ it seemed pretty light duty. Hope it holds up for him.
