Hilleberg Saivo Tent
I have been a backcountry canoeist for most of my life. I’ve owned and used a lot of tents in my time, some of them pretty good ones. But I have never owned a tent like this one. The quality and design are so far beyond anything else I’ve every used that I’m certain this will be the last tent I’ll ever own. These tents aren’t cheap and for the weekend warrior they may seem like overkill. But if you are a serious adventurer who finds yourself in challenging situations for long stretches of time you won’t begrudge the expense. Absolutely first rate, five star all the way.

Own It, Use it, Love it!!
Hilleberg makes some of the best tent on the market. The Saivo is a self supporting version on their four season tents. Also great for hard-pan ground (Abundant in the North-East). It's designed for expeditions and climbing excursions, but perfectly capable of less traumatic conditions. In summer, it vents well, in spring and fall it's great against moisture (rain wet snow), in winter - it's designed for high winds and snow piling on the tent.
This tent will last (and not leak or tear) - Which is why it's worth spending the $$ for. You get what you pay for!
