Most Helpful Positive Review great leather upgrade for Hoka
I picked this "industrial" grade leather upper Hoka to carry on our home care of my husband's plantar fasciitis while giving him a more beefy upper to keep up with his construction and lumberyard work. His other Hoka Bondis were great on sole comfort but the nylon uppers wore out on the job. These leather Hokas are tough, and after several days on the job don't have a scratch on them. They fit just like the regular Bondis and actually look ok in black--goes with everything and doesn't look too much like a special needs/medically necessary shoe. The only style of leather shoes of Hoka

by Jonathan, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on April 8, 2024
These shoes don't need to be worn in, they are very comfortable to wear. Choose a larger size, as the wide version is more suitable for feet with a thick instep. The sole is thick and elastic, and the leather has a good texture.

Almost perfect for working indoors.

by Steve, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on January 1, 2022
Pros: Fabulous cushiony Hoka comfort. Short break in period. Raised sole and leather construction keeps wet floors and shallow puddles away from your socks. Solid colors of white or black work in professional settings. Slip resistant sole grips like velcro on flat wet surfaces like concrete or tile. Not so good: Lack of breathability can trap perspiration in your socks - wear wicking sock materials. Not for dirt surfaces, no gaps between sole tread means no traction in variable dirt conditions. Overall: Pros are too stellar to drop from 5 stars. Expensive, but so worth it for those on there feet at work, professionals or factory workers.
Best Used for:
  • On your feet all day at work indoors.
