The axe head is awesome and cuts easily. The fit to the handle was a bit disappointing. A gap was visible at the top of the axe where the handle fit didn't quite match the contour of the eye of the head. Hopefully, this will not cause the head to loosed in time. There was also a small ding on the cutting edge. The axe was well packaged and not damaged in shipping. So, my guess was, it was sent out this way. Certainly, not the quality I expected from HB.

This is a beautiful beast of an axe! I gave a 5 Star instead of 5 only due to not being 100% impressed with the hang as there are a couple void spaces in the eye and grain runout in the handle, but it will likely last a very long time without issue. I was just surprised since all other Hults Bruks I own cake flawless. The handle is plenty beefy enough to be able to thin it and shape it to your liking. Can’t wait to put a working edge on it and customize the handle.
