Love the pack for its appropriate size and fit (I find the HMG 3400 Porter I have too deep to reach into comfortably to pack and get things from), for its amazing low weight and great support, and for its water-proofness. Looks great too, though it stains real fast from wet grass and the like, which doesn't really concern me. I did find with the Porter (with the same cuben fiber) that you have to avoid pack rubbing against hard objects - in a bus I wore a small hole in the top part just from friction against a metal part of the seat in front (but easily fixed). So now I'm real careful where I place it in vehicles, and make sure it won't move (and try to avoid thorny trees); and always place it in a large plastic bag when flying. I got the standard white after considering the stronger black cuben, as I much prefer a light-colored pack. The only real bitch was the absymally slow standard shipping - Campsaver were prompt to dispatch it, but then it took forever to wing its way from there to Korea (obviously not Campsaver's fault). The Windrider also contracts well for occasional day use. I wish the extra gear straps were provided standard with the pack; but with my long Z-lite folded in two stacks, I secured it on the back with elastic cord, and that worked well on my recent 2-week trip to Japan, though it meant I didn't use the back mesh pocket. A bit tight with my full camping gear - but great incentive to get the weight and volume down! (Although I'm 5ft 8", I got the Large size based on my back measurement according to the HMG guidelines, and it seems right for me, make sure you get the right fit!)
