Terrible lid!

The lid does not close all the way and has nothing that latches the lid securely closed. Flips over and off the hinges. This causes poor ice retention and need to buy replacement hinge. No handles to lift it in and out of vehicle. Only the pull handle.

  • Lid, Ice Retention
Best Used for:
  • Stationary use.

Overpriced

Had this igloo trailmate marine for a little over 3 months, ice retention isn't great. The cable wire that secures the lid is held by a self tapper on the inside of the cooler..it widened the plastic out and came loose..the lid just folds all the way back and comes out of the hinges..and emailed a warranty form into igloo and it's been a week and haven't had a response yet.
Pros:
  • It rolls well
Cons:
  • Thin lid, poor ice retention, horrible lid engineering
Best Used for:
  • With or without the lid?!
