I wear these every day on wood, carpet, asphalt, and trail. The sticky rubber sole will wear down quickly on asphalt/concrete. The upper will stretch to fit you perfectly in a couple of weeks, but eventually (9+ months) the soft mesh may develop wear spots (through the outer layer only) - this happened on my oldest pair after one year - the soles are worn but they are still effectively silent and

Was pleasantly surprised by these boots. For a while now I've been into the whole minimalist running shoe kick, and wanted a GTX hiking boot that followed the same philosophy.
