I live at 9000 feet elevation in the Rockies. My dog will bark at me all morning until I take him for his daily walk, and he doesn't care what the weather is doing. After several falls on icy roads and trails, I bought some chain-type cleats for my boots, but they were more trouble than they were worth. Always falling off and getting lost in the snow. I was looking online for ANYTHING to make our walks safer for me and found Campsaver's site. I found several great options there, but ultimately decided to get the Jambu Flex Climber. I absolutely LOVE them!!!!!! They're very warm and comfy. A little heavy, but the awesome spikes make up for it!!! Very fast and easy to get the spikes in and out and I don't need to sit down to do that like I did with the chain cleats. Just got them this spring, so haven't gotten to try them on ice yet, but for the first time ever, I'm excited for my road to freeze over! Campsaver had them at an incredible price too!

These are great boots. True to size, and clever in their design. I love the concept, and so far, the performance is perfect. I can't think of any way to improve them. I do have to use the crank at the back very often, and sometimes it is tedious because I go in and out of buildings all day, but how to make this easier, I do not know. Really a great design.
