Solid built backpack
Always thought Jansport was more about school bags then backpacking so I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. 65L is the perfect size for multi day excursions. Fabrics are tough, fit system is awesome with a sliding adjustable harness and moveable shoulder straps. Big side mesh pockets for water bottle, tent poles, bear spray and whatever you fancy. Reasonable amount of lashing points on the bottom and top but the really treat was that not only can you access it from the top it has side access as well. So initial impressions are positive - next step is to see how well it does on the trai...

Excellent value
Got this when it was closing out, so a steal at $72. Very durable, and plenty of space for most adventures. The grab handles on the back are especially useful if you need to toss it around when traveling. Side access is useful, and the various straps and attachment points make it easy to lash things on. Shoulder straps and back are comfortable and adjustable. Only wish was that the hipbelt pocket would be larger, and on both sides (only right side has one), and that it would include a raincover, but these are minor gripes. I've mostly used it at half to 3/4 load, so unsure about how it's like when super heavy. It feels rugged though, and gives more confidence than most other packs I've used. Overall an excellent purchase, sad it was discontinued. Always look for those closeout deals!

Good backpack for long time hiking
This pack were award "2014 Editors' Choice Snow Awards from Backpacker”. I like its sleeping bag stored site at pack bottom, and adjustable torso length system.

Jansport Klamath 65
Just completed 40 miles over 3.5 days on the AT. Pack has good storage, good balance, simple and seems rugged. On the trail adjustments were easy. Overall good pack for less than $100.

Good pack for the sales price.
The pack is well built. Do question how long the strap connection points made of plastic will last. It does not have side pockets due to the side entry panels but those are helpful. It also has an interesting interior panel towards the bottom that separate the upper and lower sections that can be removed, why not sure. Wish it had more compression straps.
