Sumo Jetboil

WOW..... this unit had water boiling in less than four minutes...... fuel use was minimal..... large enough for two MRE style meals..... looking into the coffee unit.... functions perfectly ..... will have to do a little tweeting on the fuel holder - bought Coleman canisters and they don’t exactly fit - so took a little of the plastic off one side and everything with together with no issues. Did all my test in 85 deg weather - so there could be differences at lower temperatures..... will be giving it a go when the weather is in the 30’s and see if there is any significant difference..... the design of the burner housing should make this minimal.....

It is a very good product. Lightweight and portable. I am going to take it to the mountain of Jirisan in Korea. It is more convenient to have an ignition device than msr products. I'm sorry for the lack of packing pouches.

In a league all its own. Don't even think about buying a different cooking system. And campsaver is the best place to buy it.

Boil-fest

I'm really happy with the Sumo. As expected, it boils water ridiculously fast, especially when I cook for myself and only need a cup or two of water. I've only used it on one backpacking trip on the AT. The stove is nice and light, durable and cleans up beautifully. Despite the simmering concerns I've read on other reviews, I was able to simmer dehydrated soup for 10 minutes in a light breeze with no problem. Stiffer winds might pose more of an issue, but I'm sure that can be managed.
