Just received this product the other day, and right out of the box I am very impressed with it. The first thing i did was test its capabilities by filtering about 12oz of water from one glass to another, which katadyn recommends doing anyway in order to clear out any ceramic dust. The flow rate I experienced was similiar to what i read on the companies website, which i believe is 0.5 liter per m

I regularly use and test different outdoor gear and wanted to like this filter because of the brand name and light weight. No matter how clean you make the ceramic filter, within seconds it requires almost super human effort to pump. 3 to 5 minutes per liter and you're exhausted. Don't bother with this. Get the Hiker or Hiker Pro. You'll be much happier with either. (30 seconds to 60 seconds per l
