Jeff's Review of Kelly Kettle Stainless Steel Trekker
This review is based only one the visual aspects of the product as I have not yet had the opportunity to try it out. Overall the Trekker looks to be pretty well made. Seems to be of a thick enough gauge of stainless to be fairly durable, however I do think that the finish could be better. The stainless looks to be more of a brushed rather than polished type, and is especially evident on the underside where the fire will be. Would be easier too keep clean of soot with polished stainless. The other areas that I see that looks like it could use some improvement is the wire bail and the tabs that hold the bale, which are both pretty small gauge of wire/sheet and needed to be straightened as they were both a bit crooked. Cosmetic only on the bail and would not have effected the operation but I question the longevity of the tabs. Other than that the unit looks to be as advertised and I am looking forward to trying it out.
Pros:
Endless supply of fuel
Cons:
Large physical size for the amount of water capacity
Would Recommend:
Yes
