I wanted a daypack for carrying a few books and necessities around. I walk or cycle everywhere. This backpack is a little bit smaller than most, but that's good because it forces me to keep the weight down. Good for festivals or going to the coffee shop or library. I like the retro/classic styling and it seems like it will last.
