Perfect for my emerging backpacker!
With a Kelty Yukon for my older (Cub Scout) boy and this Jr. Tioga for my younger (future Tiger Cub) son, these guys are ready to start carrying their own food, water, and possibly a lightweight sleeping bag as they develop. We live in Colorado and can't resist the trails. Our first outing is a couple of weeks away --- can't wait!

Great pack
This is an overall great pack. I bought this for my 6yo daughter. She has a small frame and this pack is a bit large for her, but it is the best fitting pack I could find. It will adjust with her as she grows over several years. The padding seems to be adequate in the shoulders and waist. My daughter took this on a two mile hike with about 15lbs and had no complaints.
