We took this backpacking for 10 days in the Southwest. Easy to set up and held up in some stiff winds. The star gazing feature isn't a basic necessity but we love it! Packs away nicely and is very light.
Caveat: I'm 6' and had just enough space to lay down - If you are 6'3 or taller I don't think the dimensions would be ideal for you.
