Great features and plenty of space - Kelty Trail Ridge 3 Tent - 3 person, 3 season

jmatzorkis's Review of Kelty Trail Ridge 3 Tent - 3 person, 3 season
We received the Trail Ridge 3 as a Christmas gift and it has been really great to camp in. It comes with a footprint and a rain fly. The rain fly extends out beyond each of the two doors to form little rainproof outdoor "rooms" where you can store shoes and other wet gear without getting the mess inside of the tent. The tent also features a large window on one side for star gazing. It's really easy to roll the fly up and down - you barely have to exit the tent to catch a view or to protect from rain. The only drawback to this tent is that, unlike tents with poles that are all the same length, there's really only one right way to put it together - the poles are color coded to fit the ends, which makes it simple to set up during the day, but if it's dark out, you'll definitely need a flashlight to make sure you've got it right. Otherwise you risk bending the poles a little out of shape, which happened to me in one spot but it's really not so bad - with the ends in the correct spots it still stands pretty much like new. A recommended product!
