Kelty Tumbler 30/50 Degree Sleeping Bag -Synthetic-

This bag was purchased only two weeks ago, but arrived (via a free 2-day delivery upgrade) just in time for a wind-blown 5-night mid-September paddle into the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior. The bag (size regular) easily fit 6'2", head to toes, and I liked the idea that I could alter the insulation above and below by simply turning over. There was at least one comfortable night in the upper 30s and another in the mid 50s, so the temperature range claims of the Kelty Tumbler 30-50 have been met for the likes of me; an active and well fed, if aging, radiator.
After just one trip, the only possible negative comment I could make about this product is the bulk. It completely filled a properly roll-closed 20 liter tapered bow/stern dry bag, but that's the ideal storage location for a low-weight item in steep fresh-water chop, anyway, so not much of a concern for paddlers. All in all, this was a good purchase for me, and, as of right now, might be even better for you on sale in the Outlet.
Just to be clear, I will apparently receive a 7% off coupon for this review. I wouldn't change a thing.
Pros:
long enough for the moderately tall
varying top and bottom insulation thickness
Cons:
Bulky
Best Used for:
kayak, canoe, or car camping
Would recommend: Yes
