Great trekking poles at a great price! honest weight! - Kelty Upslope 2.0 Trekking Pole, Pair

Dave's Review of Kelty Upslope 2.0 Trekking Pole, Pair
At 9.2 ounces per pole, these Kelty's are right on par or lighter than about all other aluminum poles. You may read some new seller's description and see '7075 aluminum with quick adjust only 7.9 ounces per pole.....' or something like that. The honest truth is I have weighed MANY trekking poles on my digital electronic scales, and other than one set of carbon graphite poles, ALL the aluminum poles weighed 1 1/2 to 3 ounces heavier than advertised. These poles have the "old style" twist to lock, which is actually much better than the "flip quick lock" in my opinion. Twist to lock are sleeker, don't rattle and can't catch on brush or weeds and accidentally unlock. Kelty is an old company that made it's reputation though delivering quality products. Also, Campsaver's service and shipping was second to no one!
Pros:
Very strong!
Will stand up to abuse!
Cons:
NONE
