I bought the Klymit 4 person tent for canoe camping as my Mountain Hardware backpacking tent is pretty tight for 2 people. I was not expecting much as I picked it up for under 200 dollars on sale. The tent is too heavy for trekking but fits well in a canoe. Initially it felt a little flimsy and I was concerned about flapping noise. I am happy to report the tent held up very well in a northern Michigan windstorm with winds consistently 40 MPH and gusts to 60 MPH. No flapping was noted! The tent stayed warm and dry through heavy rains and the double vestibule was a blessing to keep both of our gear dry. I am 5'4" in height so I was able to fully stand and change clothing without difficulty. My 5'8" husband has to slightly tilt his head in the center but he did not find it difficult. I plan to use this tent with a screen tent for car camping as well and appreciate the compact size which will allow me to take extra gear. It was a great buy and a good value.
Pros:
water resistance
wind resistance
Cons:
Weight a little bit heavy
Best Used for:
Canoe or Car Camping
Would recommend: Yes
