This shoe is okay, but frankly I expected more/better from La Sportiva. The shank is not particularly substantial so hiking with it on rough terrain or rocks or with heavier weight is not advised. Certainly not crampon material. The soft, bendable area between the laces and the toe is comfortable for in town, but reduces stability on the trail. Overall the shoe has a "soft" feel. I'd take the
