Got these for climbing in the Cascades. They worked equally well for trekking up the DC on Rainier and climbing AI3 on the North Ridge of Baker. They did require some break in, but after those climbs they felt great. Stiff, warm, and comfortable - if they fit your feet, they're great boots!
