While there are many crampon compatable mountain boots on the market today the La Sportiva Nepal Evo GTX is one of the best. First of all they are lighter then the classic makalu all leather climbing boot. There are other companys that make lighter winter boots but the Nepal Evo is one of the boots that will last you a long time whether it is to Everest base camp or your favorite winter trekking place.
