These shorts are light and fit perfectly. They do not ride up my thighs like most of my other running shorts. The back pocket is big enough to fit my key fob, one gel, and saltstick pack. I have completed a challenging half-marathon and two 5k's with these shorts.

Not sure if I am just picky about my running shorts, but I'm usually never completely satisfied with any shorts I buy. These though. Wow. La Sportiva is already my go-to for all technical/adventure shoes (rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking, etc.) and they are now my go-to for running shorts.

Pros:
The material is light and comfortable. The built-in brief is extremely comfortable. These are AWESOME for hot weather activities. I just got back from an 18 day trip to Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, and I wore these for more than half the trip and they held up against odors. I wore them rock climbing, hiking, sleeping, and as casual wear throughout town and touristy activities. I also like the length of the short and that it has a more fitted (but not tight) thigh, so I felt fully covered while climbing. This also reduces likelihood of the short riding up while running.

Cons:
I wish there were more pockets, like side pockets. It has a small zip pocket in back enough to fit some gel/bars/chapstick. The built in brief is completely mesh (see-through) even in crotch area, so I don’t feel comfortable wearing without underwear. It would probably be fine because you still have the top layer. Also, after washing/drying, the drawstring lost majority of its elasticity. The length had basically doubled, so I had to cut it shorter.
