Good fit, good enough grip
As others have noted, these run larger than other climbing shoes. First, the toe box is roomier which was great for me, other brands (e.g., the BD Momentum) were like a vice on my toes. Second, I sized down only 1/2 a size from my street shoe size and they seem fine. If and when they stretch maybe I'll then go down a full size, but for now these seem perfect. Contrary to some descriptions they actually do have a slight curve to the last, not a flat bottom, so all the better. The Frixion rubber seems to be good enough for my (intermediate) purposes. For any fellow geezers out there these fit much like an old pair of EBs, except the rubber is better and the fit around the heel is a lot snugger (better).
