Most Helpful Positive Review La sportiva wildcats
My favorite hiking shoes ever. Very comfortable right out of the box. Excellent traction. They run slightly small so by half size larger. They are slightly wider than Salomons or Brookes Cascadias. I like them for backpacking as well. I used them for a 26 mile backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon with a 48 pound pack (lots of water) and they worked great. I have also used them for trail running and canyoneering and was very happy with them. I have tried a lot of different hiking shoes and these are the best for my feet and my use.

took these sneakers for hot weather. legs feel great. You can go long distances. It looks very modern and beautiful. the laces very well fix the leg and never untie themselves. you can walk in them with a large backpack, they will withstand.

Best brand for narrow feet

by Ava, from NY, United States Written on February 3, 2018
Bought these for my husband, a size 13 narrow feet (47). He has had many shoes from this brand including climbing shoes. They last a long time and these live up to the expectations. Good for everyday and wilderness. The grip on these shoes are extraordinary. I’ve noticed this particular pair add a noticeable amount of height at least an inch because of thick soles.

La Sportiva Wildcat

by Prone to Wander, from GA, United States Written on September 1, 2017
This shoe has been one of my favorites for many years. I use it for casual, walking, running and backpacking. I have been able to get over six hundred miles on a single pair before I start using them for yard work. For backpacking you may want to go a size higher to allow for thicker socks and foot swelling. The shoes hold up well in the washing machine and dry quickly.
Pros:
  • Great for all round use
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Everything except formal wear

Great AT Hikers

by Dwight F., from VA, United States Written on June 14, 2017
Over the last 2 years, I've used these trail runners for 1,600 miles on the Appalachian trail after giving up my heavy hiking boots. (This is my 5th pair) They are sturdy, lightweight, very breathable and have amazing grip on steep rocky trails.

Solid shoe but not LaSportiva's best trail runner.

by Mark A., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on April 12, 2017
I have numerous LaSportiva shoes and boots ranging from the Batura 2.0 mountaineering boots to the Crossover 2.0 trail shoes. The wildcat trail shoe was comfortable but seemed less capable of dampening shock when running than my Crossover 2.0's. I'll likely use these for casual everyday shoes or light hikers.

Very high quality, will last!

by Mary H., Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on February 27, 2016
I bought these shoes for my husband after I bought a pair for myself. He agrees that they are some of the best-made shoes that we have encountered in years. They have been great not only for snowy, wet winter runs, but also just for getting around town in less than perfect weather conditions!

Trail Running Shoe Of Choice

by Gary B., Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on December 28, 2015
These are my fourth pair. I've tried several other brands and models, but, these are the shoes that I keep returning to. Maybe a little narrow and you need to size up a half size to assure a good fit. Also, a little heavy, but, the cushioning makes up for any shortcomings of the shoe. These are not shoes that can be worn on any surface. Stick to the trail as the tread wears down pretty quickly on pavement.

Good.

by Andy A., from AZ, United States Written on July 10, 2015
I liked these shoes. But I like the 3.0s better. I put 950 miles on my 3.0s on the pct before I got these. These are good, but too tight in the toe box to be comfortable for long distance hiking. I can see how these would be better for trail running.

Best all around

by Stone in Shoe, from AZ, United States Written on April 4, 2015
This is the best all around hiking/trail running shoe I've found.
I use them for both trail running a few times a week, as well as long distance hikes.
This is my fourth pair, plus I have the goretex pair which gets occasional use, I live in the desert.
First day with my new pair did a 13.5 mile hike over my local mountains, it's rocky, gnarly and loose.
No discomfort, no blisters, nothing.
Traction is as expected, works great on most surfaces, but can slip on slimy rock, like on the AT/LT.
I've not found a magic shoe yet, but this'll do till that one turns up.
Without a doubt will purchase again.
