This could be a life saver

Wow! does this ever work well. I have never used a firesteel and thought I should get one "just in case" I forgot matches. This little item works! The safety whistle that is built in is a good idea. Small and certainly portable. I will just keep it in my cooler and I expect I will use it to light a campstove or fire instead of matches. Really well made. I just cannot figure out how to shorten the lanyard part.

  • light, well made, works
Cons:
  • directions are not great
Best Used for:
  • camping or even just having in our car in case you get stuck in winter without matches
