I consider this a mid/light boot as I believe Lowa does too. It is more robust compared to other brands, especially compared to a high top approach style shoe, yet it is still light and relatively flexible. The tread is wildly aggressive and uppers have comfortable padding. I haven’t had durability issues but foresee wanting the rand to wrap further when in scree or tree climbing. Lowa boots fit my foot well and I commend the whole line up. I wear boots for professional work and I tend to lean Lowa over LaSportiva, Crispi, etc.
