After switching from 4 season boot travel in the last few years it has been very rewarding to wear hiking/backpacking shoes for 3 seasons. This Phoenix GTX by LOWA is a very comfortable and sturdy shoe! Breathable with very little break in if any. Different laces and foot beds make them great. Whilst some may scoff at the weight of over 1.1 pound per foot...I say Keep on Truckin!
