My wife usually wears a U.S.-size 8.5 or Euro-size 39. Before ordering, we went to some outdoor stores and she tried on the Lowa Renegade GTX mid hiking boot. The U.S. size 9 was a perfect fit. I'd advise anyone considering ordering online to, first, try on a pair. Other than that, based on our experience, I'd suggest ordering up a half size. The red hiking boot was just what the doctor ordered for my red-shoe-loving wife.
