Lowa Wendelstein Warm GTX boots
Dark brown size 13 all-leather (no exterior fabric) 6" high boots. The 65" long laces that come with the boots are too short for this boot. Not sure why they supply laces too short. Good Vibram soles. Made in Germany. I really like the dark all-leather boot. They fit good, look good, and the leather is going to stop moisture and be durable. The gore-tex liner is comfortable and water resistant. They have a white layer on the soles above the Vibram sole that is annoying. Why have a dark colored boot with a 1/4" wide white strip near the bottom all around the boot? All in all, this is a very nice boot, and I like it.

Ugly brown is the new black...
If you were looking for a classy black boot to wear with your black leather jacket you might want to keep looking - although advertised as black - they are a dark ugly brown! Really bummed about the color. Otherwise a really well made, warm, and incredibly nice boot. Really more for bad weather days and urban wear than hiking a rough and tough trail. Perfect for a day hike, remote walk-in picnic or mountain travel.

Cons:
- Black is really dark/muddy brown - really bummed out
- Color is bogus. Black is not black - more of an ugly brown!
Best Used for:
- Inclement weather, mountain outings, travel - not a backpacking boot but would be great for day hikes / mire for stylized urban wear than blazing a trail...
